Hi, I was wondering if there was any progress on this? I recently installed
XUbuntu 11.10 on an another (old) laptop with a radeon-9700-mobility ("ATI
Radeon Mobility 9600/9700 (M10/M11) NP (AGP)" (ChipID = 0x4e50)), but these
options still appear to be missing?
Also it seems that the only available output resolution is 800x600, and adding
a modeline does not work the way one would expect: for smaller resolutions
(e.g. 640x480) you get a 'sub picture' in the top-left corner, with garbage to
the right and bottom. The contents are displayed in the sub-picture, the rest
of the screen does not update. For larger resolutions (e.g. 1024x768) the image
appears cropped.
