Hi,

I tested both patches alone and combined just today, sorry for that delay.

I used "old" ARCH packages as base. Patches applied without any problem and
both alone fixed the occurence of the bug.

I did not encounter any other problems during my test session (worked about 2
hours with firefox/graphical terminal/milkytracker on the system - this would
not have been possible for even one minute without the fix).
