The reason I'm asking is that with a current kernel, even if the problem isn't
fixed yet, you can limit the amount of VRAM used with KMS with the kernel
command line option radeon.vramlimit=32 .
(I don't think that option works properly with your kernel, though I guess it
doesn't hurt to try :)
FWIW, it looks like there's a 3.2 kernel available for squeeze at
http://backports.debian.org .
