             Bug #: 49042
Summary: Ugly corrupted background when starting X / switching
                    from/to X VTs
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: xorg
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: x86-64 (AMD64)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Driver/Radeon
        AssignedTo: xorg-driver-ati at lists.x.org
        ReportedBy: h.judt at gmx.at
         QAContact: xorg-team at lists.x.org

When X starts up, one can see an ugly background for the time X is loading. The
same ugly background appears again when switching to another vt (X->console,
console->X, X->X, but not console->console).

Expected results:
* black background while performing any of the mentioned actions

Actual results:
* black background (it should be completely black actually)
* white diagonal "lines" or actually white blocks,
similar to something represented by the following ascii graphics
