This happens to me too on a samsung 305u1a, it's also based on the AMD
E-350/radeon HD 6310.

One time it happened just after resuming from suspend, another time when I got
back to the computer after leaving it on to compile a kernel for a while.

It has no such problems when using windows!

The OS is ubuntu 11.04 (64bit), kernel 2.6.38, xserver 1.10.1, radeon 6.14.0.
