Always when I watch videos in vlc (last time after 1 minute, before it took 20
minutes) suddenly the ram-usage increases fast until 100% are in use (this
takes only 7 seconds), then the system freezes completely. I don't have this
problem with flash-videos.

All radeon options default, except "RenderAccel" "off" (see bug 36754).
