I have the same issue.

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200]
(rev 01)

It has 128Mb RAM onboard.

I'm using Gentoo and:

linux-2.6.38-r3
xorg-server-1.9.4 
libdrm-2.4.25
xf86-video-ati-6.14.1
mesa-7.10.2-r1
