Can you still log into the system remotely via ssh at that point? If
not, does the system react to ping / SysRq keys / ctrl-alt-del / ... ?

I guess that might be caused by the unclean logout.
For some reason, reportbug didn't include all the information it should
have, in particular the Xorg.0.log file and relevant dmesg output. I
hope someone else can fill you in on how to amend the bug report with
that information.
