So far, I've only seen it happen without blitting support; that's all I can
say, since the only way I've found to "provoke" that crash is to leave the
system unattended for over an hour, and even then it doesn't happen all the
time. My dealings with blitting enabled have so far been restricted to checking
if the corruption occurs, so the system rarely ran long enough.
One thing I've found is that after being away for some time, when the server
doesn't crash, the freezes from Bug #38539 seem to be a lot worse, almost like
every graphical change had to be "swapped in". After some time and letting all
applications draw, things speed up again.

Any halfway sane means to check that? Is there a way to trace pixmap
(de)allocations?
