[Problem]
Bad corruption in the form of line noise shows up in both the launcher and dash
in Unity, which appears to only occur on -ati with certain hardware (the HD
3450 at least).  Unity developers indicate they believe this is corruption in
-ati / mesa rather than in the compiz rendering code.
