I can confirm that this patch solves a different issue regarding fullscreen
flash video (posted it on the gentoo bugtracker).

I haven't found the proposed patch in the freedesktop git repo.
Is the patch production-grade or a quick fix? In the former case intagrating it
would be pretty nice.
