Yeah, the crashes appear in the networking layer (and after), however it's odd
they occur only with radeon kms switched on.  I'll have him test blacklisting
radeon and loading it post-boot.

Is it possible that the drm driver leaves the system in a state that could
cause subsequent modules to fail loading?
