Could you please try with 2.6.32-4-* from sid? Squeeze should ship
with a 2.6.32 kernel, it'd be nice to know the situation with that
kernel.

There's 1:6.12.192-2 in unstable, I guess your version contains a
typo? You should use reportbug to report bugs, it includes really
useful if not required info.

Please send the output of this command:
  /usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg-core/script 3>&1

Did you try with another window manager, by the way?

Does downgrading the driver help? (You may fetch any versions from
http://snapshot-dev.debian.org/).
