ATI 6.12.4 on ultraSparc runs slow

there is no DRI under solaris/sparc. i first tried to only disable dri but
also had to disable exa to build the driver.

on solaris/sparc, yes. On linux/x86 it is fast enough and would nicely meet
my needs.

i am not trying to optimize it. i want to understand why it runs slow on
sparc.
