Thanks, this looks useful. Basically, the bottleneck is XGetImage(). While we
may be able to make that suck less, in general clients shouldn't rely on it in
their fast paths. Are you using the Qt GTK+ engine by any chance?

BTW, does disabling AGP by passing radeon.agpmode=-1 help any?
