I have loaded the 2.6.35rc3 kernel and played with power_method and
power_profile as you explained. Things work pretty well now. Using the
low profile, the temperature is just fine and I can do everything I
need. Sometimes I have to switch back to the default profile to get
better performances, but that's not a problem.

I've also tried the dynamic method and it seems to have some issues:
the screen is always kind of "blinking" and that is pretty annoying.
Is this a known issue that is being tackled in the stable release?
