I see the exact same symptoms on my system since 8.10. Only that I am on 32 bit
and     Probed  RADEON(0): Chipset: "ATI Radeon X800SE (R420) JJ (AGP)" (ChipID
= 0x4a4a)
Why have there been no updates since september of last year? I can see that
people most likely want to support the new cards rather than fixing stuff for
the old ones but Linux has been pretty much unsable for me since the 'freezes'
started to occur. Is there anything going to happen with this problem?
