Can you boot up with only the problematic monitor attached and then dump the
registers using the vesa driver (assuming the head lights up ok), and then
using the radeon driver.  use avivotool:
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~airlied/radeontool
(as root):
./avivotool regs all > vesa.regs
./avivotool regs all > radeon.regs
