You'd need to figure out what external tmds chip is used on your board and what
i2c line it's connected to.  Unfortunately mac cards do not have the
information available via a table in the vbios and as such have to be
hard-coded in the driver.  If you enable kms on newer kernels, you should be
able to probe the i2c buses on the card and look for the tdms chip.
