My laptop has (Acer TravelMate 5730G): LVDS, HDMI, VGA
My port replicator: DVI, VGA

It is possible that the VGA ports are the same and that the HDMI/DVI has the
same signal (I cannot verify, I don't have the HDMI screen).

I have only the LVDS and DVI (from port replicator) active/connected.

The radeonhd driver reports PANEL (connected), VGA_1 (disconnected), DVI-D_1
(connected), DVI-D_2 (disconnected).
