Using Iceweasel as my browser and the NASA Night Launch theme I'm seeing some
image deformation in the area unoccupied by the scroll bar. Usually tiny black
and gray boxes appear in that area, but now in latest git I see a series of
jagged lines.

git-bisect reveals that the problem code is somewhere in this commit:
