It was easier than I thought. The 6.12 branch worked much better. I tried the
setup with two monitors from the beginning, I had the screen on LVDS, but
1024x768 only. After I logged into the KDE 3.5.10, the xrandr was able to set
1280x800 on LVDS (`xrandr --output LVDS --auto`), but I was not able to change
resolution on DVI-0: xrandr: cannot find crtc for output DVI-0
The output from `xrandr` after I run the `xrandr --output LVDS --auto` command
looked like (LVDS is native 1280x800, DVI-0 is native 1280x1024):
