I found out that Option "FBTexPercent" "99" helps with my performance problem.
And EXA was not active in radeonhd...

Maybe i'll update once testing has a newer xserver. but for now most of my
performance problems are solved thanks to the above option. beware though, 100
renders video playback impossible.
