Hi,

I'm using an
VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV535 [Radeon X1650 Series]
(rev 9e)
with
 x11-base/xorg-server-1.6.2-r1
 x11-drivers/xf86-video-ati-6.12.1-r1
 media-libs/mesa-7.4.2
on a gentoo linux system. Everything was fine until I bought myself an
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 3000 tv-card (Multimedia video controller: Conexant
CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder).
When I plug the tv-card into the pci slot, xorg fails to start up.
When I remove the tv-card everything is fine again.
Additionally I tried the xf86-video-radeonhd driver. It shows one other EE
message in the Xorg.0.log, but still xorg won't start. Now I'm using the vesa
driver, which runs really slow, but xorg starts up.
