cannot build driver 6.10.0

Hi all.

I want to build newest driver 6.10.0 on my openSuse 11.1. While building I
get following error

checking for XORG... configure: error: Package requirements (xorg-server >=
1.2 xproto fontsproto ) were not met:

No package 'xorg-server' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

What do I do wrong? Any hints appreciated.
