XAA vs. EXA

HI!

I get this message in Xorg.0.log:

(II) RADEON(0): XAA Render acceleration unsupported on Radeon 9500/9700
and newer. Please use EXA instead.

So, I tried
Option          "AccelMethod"           "EXA"
in xorg.conf.

But desktop effects of KDE 4.2 "feel" slower (less smooth) with that option.

Is there anything I can do to have EXA perform as smooth as XAA?

My system:
- Gentoo
- kernel 2.6.27
- xorg-server 1.5.3
- xf86-video-ati 6.10.0
- KDE 4.2
- RV350 [Mobility Radeon 9600 M10]
