Hello Xorg Gurus!

I have ASUS X71S laptop with VGA and HDMI output. I am using Ubuntu 9.10/32bit.
The VGA output works well, but I have problem with HDMI output, The connected
TV is Toshiba REGZA C3005.

The integrated ATI VGA is:

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3400
Series

It is Mobility Radeon 3740 (M82)

I wanted to use radeon driver, so I installed xorg edgers PPA packages (all
latest) and custom (Ubuntu build) kernel image:
Linux M 2.6.32-02063202-generic #02063202 SMP Sat Dec 19 11:00:49 UTC 2009

Everything is okay (2D, 3D acc, video playback, VGA output) Except when I
enable HDMI it blanks the LCD panel of laptop.

---

Step by step reproduction:
1) Start machine with Ubuntu and Login (I have log:
Xorg.0.log.before-hdmi-connected)
2) Connect HDMI
3) Run xrandr or enable the HDMI output from the applet
 - This blanks the display of Laptop and show a picture on TV (whitin few
seconds). The resulution of hasktop on TV is very high (1920x1080) however the
TV native resulotion is 1360x768.

There is no way to get back picture on laptop except:
1) Diconnect HDMI cable
2) Run xrandr (without parameters)
3) Switch to text console (for example 1) then back to X on 7.
4) The picture appear on Laptop's LCD

(Logfile from here: Xorg.0.log-after-hdmi connected)

---

Another scenario: HDMI connected during boot
* No pic on LCD, the login screen appears (in 1920x1080) on TV
* After login no pic on TV and no pic on LCD but I hear the sounds of system,
so it is still running (like I hear Skype login sound, etc.)
(I have no logfile for this situation)
