Does disabling coherent mode help?
non-KMS:
xrandr --output DVI-0 --set coherent_mode 0
KMS:
xrandr --output DVI-0 --set coherent 0
Note that for KMS, you need the latest bits from drm-radeon-next or
drm-radeon-testing for the coherent option to work.
