I played with XAA and EXA and Kwin's OpenGL and Xrender with following output:

XAA and OpenGL: OK
XAA and Xrender: UNUSABLY SLOW
EXA and both: UNUSABLY SLOW

EXA still has it's CPU Load problems which make the hole system feel sticky (it
takes ages to open dolphin). btw: with EXA I can never (no matter which window
manager I use) see the Systray Icons!
