So you never tested xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.12.2-1 with
xserver-xorg-core 2:1.6.0-1?
Does
Option "DRI" "off"
work around the problem? If so, can you try if it works without that but
with one of the following instead:
Option "AGPMode" "8"
Option "AGPMode" "2"
Option "AGPMode" "1"
