[Original Report]
When rotating the screen, either through the screen resolution tool or by using
xrandr -o left, the whole system freezes. Keycombinations like
ctr-alt-backspace and ctrl alt delete don't work and I have to restart the pc.

Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
SourcePackage: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-4-generic x86_64
