I am now running xserver from GIT as of today, and also the radeon driver from
GIT as of today.  The "big image" freeze as indeed gone away, but now my whole
system freezes when I play an AVI file with mplayer (using Xv) and go
full-screen.

Again, system freezes up.  Mouse still moves, but movement looks choppy. 
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace do nothing.

Any ideas what this could be?
