According to http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15795#c7 this could be
related to some change between Linux 2.6.22 and 2.6.23. Looking at the DRM
changes between them, nothing jumps out as being likely related. It could be
helpful to bisect the kernel commit triggering the change in behaviour.
