This looks similar to bug #412228. We don't have any solution so far
unfortunately.

You might want to test the latest upstream driver but you will need to
upgrade your Xorg to unstable to do so. It might be  easier to build
this latest driver yourself directly. There's a quick howto at
http://bgoglin.livejournal.com/10936.html (just replace intel with ati).
