When connecting my monitor to the mac mini directly with DVI, or VGA to DVI, X
loads. This is with the latest code from git.

It seems my KVM does not allow for DDC/resolution monitor probing, and even
with resolutions and refresh rate set in xorg.conf, X doesn't load.
