I have the same problems (screen goes blank randomly for
several seconds) with a Sapphire X1650 Pro on a gentoo system, using the 6.9.0
drivers. The blanking occurs only at the 1920x1200 resolution. Changing with
xrandr to 1280x1024 for example, there is no blinking at all.
