Hi.

What would it take for ddccontrol utility to work?

As far as I found out it uses i2c-dev -supplied device nodes to talk to 
attached monitors.

I grepped driver source back and forth but found no clues.

I'm willing to submit some spare time to the topic, but I need some 
directions. Please help.

( http://ddccontrol.sourceforge.net/  and I'm stuck with samsung 970p 
having power button as its only control )
