I also noticed the behavior with KDE4 and I was going to open a bug about it,
but then I got sick of KDE4 and uninstalled it ;)

Xorg.0.log is attached.

Yes, I did do a opcontrol --reset before profiling.  As for the kernel symbols,
I've been wondering myself why I only see /radeon for the DRM module and those
other weird symbols.  I've attached my kernel .config just in case that may
also be of use.
