With XAA I'm getting closer. The symptoms look similar as 
https://bugs.launchpad.net/xorg-server/+bug/135589 even though ppracer 
works ok. But the compiz window contents (not the decoration) are 
distored and kind of sheared as if there was a wrong line modulo being 
used.

I have attached the corresponding log and configuration. (Michel, you 
may have received another mail wrt this which the list server bounced 
due to the attachments.)
