Bug#446806: xserver-xorg-video-ati: crashes with RS482 [Radeon Xpress 200M]

I am experiencing X server crashes with drivers 6.6.19X and 6.7.19X with
the infamous Radeon Xpress 200M (RS482). The crash seems to be random,
but does not seem to happen if there is no user activity.

Drivers before 6.7.195 displayed a message similar to "warning xpress
200M found" and complained about missing visuals when running GL
applications. This message is not present in 6.7.195, but there is no
direct rendering. Manually disabling DRI, GLX, and Accel makes no
difference.

This does not apply to 6.6.3 - works just fine (but has no 3D, TV-out,
or external monitor support).

The machine is HP Compaq nx6325 notebook.
