This is on Mandriva cooker 2008.1 with x11-driver-video-ati-6.7.195-3mdv2008.1.
At X startup, my system crashes hard, not even the SysRq keys work anymore, no
Xorg.log is written at all. It was working fine with version 6.6.3.

My card is this one:
