Well, I have Fedora 8 now with xorg-x11-drv-ati-6.7.195-3.fc8 and 6.7
don't fix my flickering problem :-).

Works fine when I boot up, but if I let the dpms stuff turn off the
monitor, when it turns back on it starts to flicker on and off
and eventually either completely loses the signal or gets a signal
out of range.

I had previously worked around this by providing my own mode line
to operate as slightly less than 60HZ, but with the new an improved
version of X it is looking quite difficult to get it to acknowledge that
I even specified a ModeLine at all.
