I see, thanks for the explanation. This does not seem to be mentioned in the
radeon man page.

That seems to work great, no crash anymore, wonderful! :)

Yes, setting both Option "MergedFB" "false" and Option "MonitorLayout" "CRT,
NONE" does avoid the crash.
