the problem is still there. However, while still using the same graphic card 9200SE, my system configuration changed a bit :

I have tried what Michel suggested : (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5986)
 
- comment #13: commenting the load "dri" line in xorg.conf seems to solve the problem; the screensaver ran without crashing for about 25 minutes. Usually, when it crashes, it occurs within the first five minutes

- the other advice (comment #12) does not apply for me, since the options do not appear in my configuration file ( "XaaNoSolidBresenhamLine" and "XaaNoSolidTwoPointLine" )
