X1300: noisy HW cursor

Hi,
Using atombios branch (up to commit
814c6c48aebba2e45ce257289b922cd7e92caf2a) on my ATI Technologies Inc
RV515 [Radeon X1300] [1002:7146].

I get a rectangle with noise just above to the right of the cursor.
Using SWcursor it goes away. The rectangle is about (from my visual
memory) 80x16 pixels.
