To make sure I'm doing the right thing:

I've installed git
I've cloned git://anongit.freedesktop.org/git/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati

The revisions I'm looking at are from
  xf86-video-ati-6_5_8_0 to
  ati-6_6_2
?
