Compositing under old Ubuntu Unity-7 == compiz and Gnome shell work<br>
fine, as does KDE-5 Plasma with GLX+OpenGL compositing. Only<br>
EGL+OpenGL is broken under DRI3. In KDE-5 you can use the kde system<br>
settings app, select monitor settings, then tab "compositor" to switch<br>
the compositing backend between GLX and EGL to test this.<br>
