NetBSD's "src" repository is the oldest continuously-developed
version control repository on the internet (since march 1993),
and there's a lot of legacy there that makes switching to
anything else hard. Any way we go, we'll likely be keeping
the monorepo-with-separate-build-machinery model.
The difference in the way we do things from the modern
consensus is why I suggested handing the code over to freedesktop. ;)
