Fw: merging imake fork

We were kind of banking on upstream imake continuing to be developed in order to continue supporting our version of imake, as we do not want to maintain our own build system along with an entire desktop environment. After we put out CDE 2.3 in two weeks, we will continue supporting imake until we can fully transition to the gnu autotools.
