Looks like it broke the DMX build:

Also, I think (though I'm obviously biased on this one :) it would be
even better for https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/136239/ and
https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/136238/ to go into 1.19, in
which case backporting your fix isn't strictly required.

Anyway, in the end it's up to Adam Jackson, who's managing the 1.19 branch.
